Hi there my name is Charles. I’ve been playing electric and acoustic guitar for over 20 years. Some of my favorite bands/guitarists are: Jimi Hendrix, Tool, Led Zeppelin, Primus, Van Halen, Eric Clapton. I’m a real guitar and music nerd so I really enjoy teaching others how to play the guitar, but still not make it seem like work.

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students will learn how to properly hold the guitar as well as basic hand and finger placement. We will then start with simple exercises to help build finger strength and start to develop a basic idea of where the sound comes from and which hand is responsible for doing what. Music theory will be taught if the student would like to learn it, and regardless, I can’t help but teach a little bit of that anyway, because it will come up so often. But learning student’s favorite songs is a really great and fun way to develop the skills and also Have fun while doing it.
