My name is Alex. I am from Boca Raton, Florida, and I have been playing drums for the last 9 years. I have been playing in bands in the South Florida area since 2018, and my teaching experience goes back to 2019 where I gave drum lessons to my friends looking to pick up the instrument. I began working at School of Rock as a drumset instructor in 2023, but I had to leave in 2024 to take part in an internship with Pearl Drums in Nashville. Once I returned to Florida, I began teaching drum lessons to teenaged students at the Frost School of Music through their MusicReach program. I taught my students to play their favorite songs to inspire them to write their own music with the rest of the students. I love teaching students of all ages because I believe there is no age at which musical progress is impossible. I want to spread my love of music and performance to anyone with a passion for the art form. My students have all shown massive progress over a short period of time and I have been able to connect with them regardless of age or previous musical experience.
