Carter has always loved music from an early age. He began playing drumset at the age of 6 and continued his education by playing in grade school as well as college. His musical influences include jazz, latin, and rock. Carter's favorite thing about music is that it’s a universal language and his favorite thing about teaching music is sharing the joy of music and helping those express oneself. One of his favorite teaching experiences was his first private teaching experience with a friend back in 2022 on drumset and marching tenor drums.
