Teresa grew up in a household where the three daughters all took piano lessons. Her two sisters were not very interested, but she took her piano training seriously. Teresa went on to study at the prestigious Ornstein School of Music in Philadelphia. During her years of study at Ornstein, Teresa played in several recitals. At one of these, she received an award for her interpretation of Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata. Her favorite composers are Chopin, Beethoven and Debussy. As a teacher, Teresa feels that scales and arpeggios are an important part of piano practice that she emphasizes to her students. Her years of teaching have included students of all ages. She enjoys teaching all of them and looks forward to working new students.
