Hi, my name is Marc. I have been a student of music for many years. When I was 11 years old, I fell in love with the piano and have played since. My musical influences include Elton John to Mozart and Beethoven, Billy Joel to the Beatles. My teaching style can best be described as leaning the basic foundations to learning chords to playing the music you love. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I expect you to practice daily and study concepts I will be teaching in order to play for enjoyment or more. My favorite thing about teaching is watching the student learn and become successful playing piano and learning to love it like myself. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
I teach the fundamentals via books and training. When I was learning to play with an instructor, he made me play classical music. Although it was helpful to some degree, I wanted to play stuff I liked. I will teach you what you want to play along with learning the basics so it's a win-win. If you want to learn and get good you'll need to practice almost daily for at least 30-60 minutes.
Formal Education:
I have a bachelors degree in Visual Communications in Digital Design with a minor in Computer Science.
Performing Experience:
I have played many years in several churches on worship teams. I currently play certain weeks at The Point Church in Louisa, VA. I also play at home for enjoyment.
Experience Teaching:
I have taught beginning piano at a Junior College in Reno, NV and I had 1 private student throughout the years.
