Hello, my name is Davidand I am a gigging musician based out of Overland Park Kansas. I have over 30 years of playing experience in Drums/Percussion and 20 plus years of teaching various age groups. I have a drum studio in my home and also have no problem coming to your home/residence as well.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I am a pretty laid back instructor focusing on fundamentals and real world applications. From total beginners to pros we all have something to learn from each other. I can work through complex written drum charts for high school and college level auditions/performances to teaching you how to play your favorite songs.
Formal Education:
I am a graduate of Shawnee Mission West in which I played in all upper level ensembles, including Overland Express Jazz Ensemble. I also played collegiate level marching, jazz, orchestral and pep bands.
Private Education:
I studied under Mike McKinley while in high school and began teaching lessons after during and after college. In college I studied under Robert Kehle for Jazz Ensemble.
Performing Experience:
I have high school, college, DCI and professional performing experience spanning over 30 years. I have played festivals for crowds in the thousands and also small intimate settings with only a handful of people around the country.
Experience Teaching:
I started teaching in college and have taught preschool to professional level players since.
