20+ Years
Josh H. has over 20+ years of music experience in the Riverview area.
Josh H. is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons .What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
a beginner guitar student can expect to start with the fundamentals, including learning the parts of the guitar, how to tune it, basic strumming techniques, and how to play simple melodies and chords. They will build a foundation in basic music theory, learning notes on the E, A, and D strings, and how to play open chords like Em, Am, C, G, and D. The focus is on developing basic technique, understanding rhythm, and playing simple songs to build confidence and familiarity with the instrument. An intermediate guitar student will expand on these fundamentals, delving into more complex scales like the major and pentatonic scales, and learning additional chords, including major chords in different positions. They will also be introduced to blues progressions, the CAGED system, and begin to explore modes, gaining a deeper understanding of music theory and how it applies to the guitar. The emphasis shifts towards developing a more comprehensive understanding of the fretboard, chord relationships, and applying these concepts to playing a wider variety of musical styles.
