Devin began playing guitar at the age of 12. Over the years, he developed his skills further by taking private lessons and going to music school at Denver School of the Arts and the University of Colorado Denver. He gained performance experience in the guitar/bass area by playing shows required by his schools and many downtown Denver venues, with many hard rock/metal bands. Though Devin can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are metal, jazz, and classical, which had great influence on his style of playing. Devin loves music because it’s a never ending challenge and there’s always something new to learn and loves teaching music because he loves watching his students grow and he believes in the power of art.
