Hi, my name is Leilani, and I am a guitarist from San Francisco living in Houston. I have been a student of music for 12 years. My musical influences include Charlie Parker, My Chemical Romance, and Laufey, but I enjoy all genres. My teaching style can best be described as gentle but firm. In my lessons, you can expect to learn specific songs, playing styles, and music theory. I like to tell my students that learning is never a race, and not to stress on how long it may take to learn something, because with enough effort, you can learn whatever you put your mind to. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing people get that "A-ha!" look on their face. My students love that I crack jokes now and then. I take my lessons seriously, but I believe it's nice to lighten the mood every once in a while. I primarily teach rock guitar, but I can also teach jazz guitar.
