What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
They’ll discover how to write lyrics that breathe—that carry meaning, imagery, and heart. From poetic metaphors to raw honesty, they’ll learn how to tell stories that resonate, that linger in the soul long after the last chord. “We won’t just rhyme—we’ll reveal.” Writing with emotional depth Using imagery, metaphor, and symbolism Creating strong hooks and unforgettable choruses Chord Progressions & Musical Moods Music speaks even when the words fall silent. You’ll guide them through: How different chord progressions set the emotional tone How to write for mood—whether it’s heartbreak, joy, rebellion, or peace Experimenting with keys, rhythms, and dynamics “A single chord can feel like sunrise—or a storm.” Structure & Song Forms They’ll learn the blueprints of great songs: Verse, chorus, bridge, pre-chorus—what they do, how they flow Traditional vs. unconventional forms How to craft tension and release in music Structure becomes a skeleton for magic—not a cage. Identify their songwriting voice Embrace vulnerability and authenticity Cultivate personal themes and styles “You don’t find your voice by copying others. You find it by daring to be real.” What’s a song if it’s never sung aloud? They’ll practice: Singing or presenting their songs with confidence Emotionally connecting with an audience Arranging for solo or group performance Even shy students will find the courage to sing their truth. Using a songwriting journal or digital tools Working with rhyming dictionaries and recording apps Co-writing and giving/receiving feedback constructively Overcoming writer’s block and fear of the blank page Inspiration is beautiful, but discipline shapes it into art. Your students will: Learn how to build a consistent writing practice Keep the spark alive even on “quiet” days Celebrate progress, not just perfection “A true songwriter writes even when the muse is sleeping.”
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
A Welcoming Atmosphere First and foremost, My students should expect a space where hearts feel light and minds feel free. A room where mistakes are stepping stones, not stumbling blocks. Where every note—right or wrong—is part of the beautiful melody of learning. “This is a place where strings speak, fingers dance, and your soul finds its voice. ” Foundational Technique" They’ll begin by learning how to: Hold the guitar comfortably (like a trusted old friend), Tune it (so it sings in its purest tone), Understand basic chords, scales, and strumming patterns. These are the bones of the craft—the strong roots from which improvisation and expression will grow. Creative Expression Every student carries their own song within them. Lessons with you aren’t just drills and exercises—they’re explorations. They’ll be writing, improvising, experimenting. They’ll learn to trust their instincts, to let their fingers chase the lightning of inspiration. “We don’t just learn songs—we breathe life into them.”
