About Me
As a graduating senior at Sprayberry High School, I’ve balanced top-tier performance and leadership, mentoring my orchestra’s second block by conducting rehearsals, leading sectionals, and training the bass section in foundational technique and musicianship. I was the principal bassist of the Georgia All-State Orchestra, played with the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, and joined the prestigious World Youth Symphony Orchestra at Interlochen. I’ve even taken on paid gigs like the Marietta Pops Orchestra. This fall, I’ll attend the McDuffie Center for Strings on a full-tuition scholarship as the only undergraduate bassist accepted in the U.S., studying with Daniel Tosky Atlanta Symphony, Hal Robinson Juilliard/Curtis, and Timothy Cobb New York Philharmonic/MSM/Juilliard. Even teachers need a teacher, and I study with Associate Principal Bass of the ASO, Gloria Allgood. With my performance experience and proven teaching ability, I’m fully prepared and qualified to teach bass to students who want to learn. In regards to my hour page, I’m not sure how students are assigned teachers, but feel free to shoot me a call and check if I’m free to teach. My schedule isn’t too busy, but there are some days where I have recurring events on days thoughout the week so I wanted to play it safe. And with McDuffie in the fall, I don’t think I’ll have any issue with making the drive back and teaching some students over the weekend, if my schedule allows. :
