Hi, my name is Austin and I am a drummer from Arlington Tx. I have been a student of music for 20+ years. My musical influences include Dream Theater and Led Zeppelin and I also enjoy jazz and funk. My teaching style can best be described as relaxed but efficient. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I expect the best from my students without overwhelming them. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to become a better drummer as a whole. I like to tell my students patience and relaxation are key. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing students progress and come into their own as a musician. My favorite performance was Trees in Deep Ellum with Of Allegiance. My students love that I listen and work with them. I primarily teach drum set for most genres, but I can also teach marching and concert percussion with a focus on snare drum.
