As a Music Teacher for the past six years, I have taught students of all ages ranging from 5 years to 50 years old. A classically trained musician from New Jersey, I began studying violin at Carnegie Hall when I was 3 1/2 years old. I was a member of the New Jersey Youth Symphony from 4th grade through high school and played in many chamber groups. I come from a family of musicians and specialize in violin, guitar, piano, and vocals. My favorite thing about teaching music is sparking curiosity for creativity and individual self-expression within all of my students. As a teacher, I am the guide to creating a positive connection between the student and their instrument. Encouragement for a grounded practice routine and achievement through learning to play their favorite songs has been rewarding for my students and their parents. My approach as a teacher is to cater to each students' needs when it comes to learning how to play their instrument. Some students thrive under classically structured training while others succeed through a more unconventional approach of musical game based play. Whether it be learning to play Bach with a metronome or strumming along to their favorite Taylor Swift songs, all of my students have flourished from taking lessons with me. Some of my students love that we start with warm-ups and then take breaks to play musical games as a part of our lesson. My philosophy is centered around my ability to accommodate each student and encourage them to learn while also having fun on their musical journeys. Thank you for looking at my profile.
