Katelynn C.

I am an opera singer currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance at the Manhattan School of Music. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. I have been studying music since the age of eight and performing in productions since I was ten, with over 20 credits in opera, musical theatre, and plays across a wide variety of venues. Internationally, I trained at the Bologna International Opera Academy in Italy two consecutive summers and at the International Summer Opera Festival of Morelia in Mexico. In addition to performing, I’ve spent over four years teaching voice privately and coaching ensembles and casts. I currently serve as a teaching assistant for the undergraduate choir at MSM, which includes over 40 singers. My teaching spans vocal technique, acting, stage performance, opera, musical theatre, music theory, and diction in multiple languages. My work has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Douglas and Hilda Perl Goodwin Endowed Scholarship for Voice, the George Castelle Memorial Award in Voice, First Place in the National Society Shirley Winston Voice Competition 2020, and First Place in Peabody’s Art Song Competition 2023.
