Hello, my name is Gage, and I am a graduate student from Windthorst Tx. I have studied music for 12 years. I graduated with a B.A. in music from Midwestern State university, where I studied saxophone under Dr. Sarah Dunbar and Dr. Raphael Powell. I also studied both C and baroque flute technique with Dr. Amy Thiemann. My teaching style can best be described as student lead with classical and technical focuses. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that while not every student will continue music forever, there are lessons in the process that they can learn and use for a lifetime. In my lessons, you can expect to learn technical skills, repertoire, time management and goal setting among other everyday lessons. I like to tell my students to not stress over giant goals and to just take each step forward as the victory it is. I primarily teach saxophone, but I can also teach flute.
