Joshua K.

Joshua is an avid pianist, trombonist, and composer hailing from roots of classical piano from his mother's family and New Orleans jazz having lived there his whole life. A music education student of Loyola University, he is the former president of Loyola's chapter of the National Association for Music Educators. His teaching experience ranges from 5+ years of private trombone instruction middle school through adults, being a music instructor at local church summer camps, and leading rehearsals for visiting students through Loyola's Music Ed programs. Joshua has been composing music since he was 10 years old and recently performed a jazz recital as part of Loyola's Music Ed degree requirement, which consisted entirely of his own arrangements and compositions. He most recently won the Outstanding Brass Player award for the 2 school year at Loyola for his trombone playing in the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Brass Quintet.
