About Me
Hi, I'm Avry, a passionate and dedicated musical theatre performer currently pursuing my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre at Jacksonville University, with an anticipated graduation for Fall 2025. I’m based in Central Florida and proudly call DeLand my home, where I continue to stay involved in the local arts community. My recent performance credits include portraying the fierce Boudicca the Warrior Queen in Well Behaved Women, a contemporary song cycle presented by Jacksonville University’s Musical Theatre program. I also had the pleasure of playing Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors with JU’s Theater Department. Prior to that, I appeared as Calliope in Xanadu and Mrs. Medlock in The Secret Garden at Daytona State College, where I earned my Associate of Arts degree in Theatre. One of my favorite roles to date was stepping into the shoes of Sandy in Grease at the historic Ritz Theater in Sanford. Beyond performing, I love creating opportunities for others to shine. In my spare time, I’ve directed two Christmas showcases and a Valentine’s Day concert alongside my college peers, bringing live performance to the heart of our DeLand community. This past year I was a proud member of Jacksonville University's professional student vocal ensemble, University Singers. Our recent work includes a multi-day tour of Florida's middle and high schools, as well as a collaboration with the Amelia Island Opera House for a production of Madame Butterfly. Whether I'm on stage, directing, or singing in concert halls, I strive to bring authenticity, heart, and professionalism to everything I do. My goal is to continue my educational journey at UCF for their Masters program in Musical Theater Pedagogy. I love teaching and I look forward to working and inspiring new students!

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner -

Students should expect a safe environment to grow their craft, whether a beginner or someone looking to get back into singing, I will provide important techniques for vocal health and stamina, proper vocal warm ups, teaching more than one genre of music, and helping you become a well rounded performer. If you are also looking for performing skills such as acting while singing, confidence for a performance, and audition prep/advice, I will provide these services as part of your training.

Formal Education:

BFA Musical Theater, Jacksonville University (Fall 2025)

Performing Experience:

I've been performing since I was 10 years old and I've been in over 20 musicals.

Experience Teaching:

I am fairly new to teaching, over the years I've given lessons to family and friends and I'm looking forward to growing that experience. My BFA degree was in the music department instead of the theater department, making my musical theater training heavy with music training, including theory, voice lessons, voice labs, English & Italian diction, and vocal pedagogy to name a few.
