Hello! My name is Ryan and I’ve loved music since I heard it. I began playing music at the age of 13 and continued my education at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where I received B.M. under the master Scott Pingel. I later went on to SFSU on a full ride scholarship where I received my M.M. under the great Shinji Eshima. My musical influences include everything from Bach to country and everything in between. Perhaps my favorite thing about music is that it is a universal language and that we only have 12 notes no matter where you are in the world. My favorite thing about teaching music is connecting with many brilliant minds and giving back and sharing a very long tradition of techniques and styles. When taking lessons with me you can expect a teacher who cares and doesn’t watch the clock. I will often go overtime than usual unless my schedule is packed.
