Hi, my name is Jacob and I am a guitarist from NYC. I have been a student of music for 12 years. My musical influences include SRV and I also enjoy jazz and rock. My teaching style can best be described as moldable to your goals. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that it is moldable to your specific goals. In my lessons, you can expect to learn proper technique, sight reading skills, music theory and improvisation. I like to tell my students it's okay to fail, you need to fail over and over until you finally get it. My favorite thing about teaching is sharing what has been shared with me. My favorite performance was Battle of the Bands at my college. My students love that I can tailor my lessons for their goals. I primarily teach technique and theory, but I can also teach how to rock out on your favorite songs. My approach as a teacher is to foster the passion that a student has for playing.
