Hi, my name is Sophie and I am a music education student from Webster University. I have been a student since 2023 and although I have had teaching opportunities through my program, I am seeking additional opportunities. My musical influences include commercial, opera, classical, broadway, etc. and I also enjoy acting. My teaching style can best be described as collaborative. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that if you can speak, you can sing! In my lessons, I will meet my students at there skill level and then we can progress from there together. I enjoy teaching this way because I am able to adjust my approach to fit best with the student or group I'm working with. My favorite performance was a recent duet I performed with my friend on campus from the opera "The Tales of Hoffmann" called "Belle nuit, ô nuit d'amour. I primarily teach voice, but I can also teach very basic piano skills. I am considered a Mezzo-Soprano Alto, but I have no problem teaching those who don't have the same voice type or range.
