Hello! My name is Anna Kate and I'm a singer trained in classical and musical theatre styles, though I am also passionate about folk, indie and choral music. I have a particular interest in Eastern European and Nordic folk music. I always encourage my students to not just explore music, but the cultures from which they come.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
♫ Be on time for lessons ♫ Come with a learning attitude and an open mind! ♫ Expect extensive character work for musical theatre and classic songs ♫ Expect to take a deeper look at the origins of the songs you choose, both culturally and emotionally ♫ Expect to be treated with kindness and patience. Singing is very personal and unique to each person, my teaching style is very collaborative.
Formal Education:
I hold a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Texas Woman's University and also attended Otterbein University.
Performing Experience:
Performance experience includes tours and a choir performance at the 2025 Americal Choral Director's Association with the Texas Woman's University Concert Choir! Over the past twelve years, I have performed in over fourteen musicals and two operas both in an academic and community setting. My most recent roles are Estelle from John Musto's Later the Same Evening at the Columbus Museum of Art and Dr. Sinclair in a broadway-bound new musical Out of the Blue at Texas Woman's University. Throughout my choral career, I have had the honor to work with choral composers Dr. Joni Jensen, Dr. Paul David Thomas, Libby Larson and Katarina Gimon.
