Hi, my name is Cobey, and I am a guitarist from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I have been a student of music for 10 years. My musical influences include 70s rhythm and blues music, and I also enjoy modern alternative and folk music. My teaching style can best be described as encouraging and exciting. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I inspire students to follow the passion they have inside for music, not only to learn the black and white basics. In my lessons, you can expect to learn any songs you enjoy, chords, scales, improv, lead playing, etc. I like to tell my students to follow the music. My favorite thing about teaching is watching students experience the same joy in succeeding that I have experience through the years of growing as a musician. My favorite performance was at Cain's Ballroom in 2019 with The Odyssey. My students love that I listen to what music makes them excited and act accordingly.
