About Me
I’ve been teaching music professionally for over 15 years across a wide range of instruments, including guitar, piano, bass, drums, ukulele, and music theory. I currently run my own teaching business, offer private and group lessons both in-person and online, and serve as the Guitar & Piano Instructor at Westover School in Middlebury, CT. My teaching style blends formal instruction with creativity, wellness, and flexibility to fit each student’s needs — whether they’re beginners, advanced musicians, or returning after a long break. I also have extensive experience in performance, composition, and music production, having scored indie games, released original music on streaming platforms, and worked with professional musicians in the studio and on stage.

What to expect in my

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Whether you're brand new to music or picking it back up after a break, my lessons are designed to meet you where you’re at and help you grow with confidence. I offer a supportive, flexible, and personalized approach tailored to your goals, interests, and learning style. Here’s what you can expect: A Custom Plan — Every student is different, so I build lessons around your goals, whether it’s learning your favorite songs, understanding theory, improving technique, preparing for performances, or writing your own music. Clear, Engaging Instruction — I break things down in a way that makes sense, using visual tools, audio examples, and hands-on practice to make each concept stick. Balance of Structure and Fun — Lessons include technical exercises, creative applications, and musical exploration — with room to adjust based on how you're feeling that day. Resources and Support — You’ll receive customized materials (like tabs, sheet music, video walkthroughs, and backing tracks) and tips to help you stay motivated between lessons. Real-World Musical Skills — Learn how to play with feel, jam with others, perform with confidence, or even record and share your music. Above all, my goal is to help you enjoy the process, stay inspired, and feel proud of your progress.
