KJ began playing many different instruments at the age of 8. This includes cello, bass, drums, percussion, and many others. Over the years, he developed his skills further by joining many different groups and practicing daily. He gained performance experience in the KC Metro area by playing at such venues as Kauffman Centre and Yardley Hall. Along with local venues, he also played nationally in NYC, performing in Carnegie Hall in 2023. Though KJ can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are classical and indie which had great influence on his style of playing. KJ loves music because of the expressive ways of storytelling and loves teaching music because he gets to share the experience with others..
