Hi, my name is Ashton and I am a drummer from Las Vegas, Nevada. I have been a student of music for 10 years. My musical influences stem primarily from jazz but I am also proficient other styles including but not limited to: Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, pop, country, rock, and hip hop. My teaching style is adaptive to the student and I try to personalize my instruction to the needs of each student. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe a deep rooted connection to music can fuel a lifetime of music-making. In my lessons, you can expect me to gear the instruction around what you would like to learn! I like to tell my students find what makes you excited about music and chase that. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing students develop a love for music. My students love that I share my own passion for music and encourage them to find what makes them passionate. I primarily teach drumset, but I can also teach classical percussion and beginner piano.
