Hi, my name is Michael and I am a drummer from Austin. I have been a student of music for 50 years. My musical influences include Rock, Blues, Jazz, RnB, Country, orchestral, marching, rudimental and I also enjoy playing guitar, singing and songwriting. My teaching style can best be described as fun but productive. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I taylor my lessons for each individual students needs and interests. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to build the fundamentals to build an exciting and inspiring musical journey. I like to tell my students stay relaxed but focussed and remember we play music for fun and creative expression! My favorite thing about teaching is guiding my students to a rewarding creative experince. My favorite performance was touring the states and abroad as a drummer and vocalist. My students love that I keep things fun and interesting, guiding you to the next level on your creative journey! I primarily teach drumset, but I can also teach all aspects of percussion.
