With over 20 years of guitar experience and a background performing in everything from small jazz ensembles to touring cover bands, I offer lessons designed to meet students where they are—and help them grow beyond what they thought possible. My teaching philosophy is rooted in curiosity and connection: we explore the music that excites you, while building a strong foundation in technique, theory, and musical understanding. Whether you're a beginner just picking up your first guitar or an experienced player looking to refine your skills, I’ll help you see the bigger picture—how everything on the instrument fits together and relates to music as a whole. As a parent and a former stay-at-home dad of nearly a decade, I understand the challenges of family life, including the unpredictability of scheduling. I take a patient, understanding, and flexible approach to teaching. My experience as a pit musician for high school and college theater productions has given me valuable insight into working with kids and teens—keeping them engaged, motivated, and inspired.
