Hi, my name is Maximilian, and I am a Guitar Teacher from Santa Fe, NM. I have been a student of music for 15 years. My musical influences include Jimi Hendrix, Eric Johnson, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Prince, and much more. I also enjoy many different kinds of genres, and I have experience teaching many different kinds of music. My teaching style can best be described as technique first, whereby we learn how to play some basic chords and easy songs so that we can start playing something and having fun right away! If I have intermediate students, we often focus more on theory and touch up our technique along the way. My teaching philosophy can best be described as patient, understanding, and enjoyable. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the basics and advanced if applicable techniques and theoretical foundations for guitar and music. I like to tell my students that no one ever stops learning an instrument, so it's totally okay to not know something and to be patient with yourself. My favorite thing about teaching is spreading the joy of music, and seeing the satisfaction on someone's face when they finally can play one of their favorite songs. My students love that I can teach in different styles and ways to accommodate the genre of music, and the learning style of the individual. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach bass, and ukulele. My approach as a teacher is to make sure that everyone has a fun time learning and feels as though they are making progress with their instrument. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
