My approach to teaching is rooted in real-world musicianship — not textbook theory for its own sake. I help students see and hear music as a living language, connecting harmony, melody, rhythm, and technique in a way that makes sense on the instrument and in your ears. I’ve studied and internalized the music of geniuses like Bach, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Wayne Shorter, Coltrane, and Wes Montgomery — and I bring that level of musical insight to every lesson, whether you’re just starting out or exploring advanced jazz harmony and improvisation.
