Kinsman began playing drums at the age of three, banging in perfect rhythm before he could even ride a bike. Over the years, he developed his skills further through private lessons, school ensembles, and relentless gigging. He gained performance experience in the Colorado Front Range by playing at venues such as Larimer Lounge, Moe’s BBQ, Club 156, and Sunshine Studios Live, with acts like Splintered Autumn, Delta Dust Band, and the Stephen Lear Band. Though Kinsman can teach many different genres—including rock, jazz, funk, blues, and progressive music—his personal favorites are classic rock, fusion, and modern progressive, with heavy influence from legends like Neil Peart, John Bonham, and Dave Watts. His playing blends technical precision with raw energy and deep groove. Kinsman loves music because it’s always been his truest form of expression—powerful, limitless, and deeply human. He loves teaching music because he believes every student has a voice worth unlocking behind the kit.
