Chris has been performing and recording music for over 30 years. He has always loved music from an early age, first playing piano at the age of 10, and then lending how to play guitar at the age of 16. He continued playing in various bands in both church and publicly until he became very proficient at it. He’s also learned how to play bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, and drums over the years. Chris’s musical influences include The Beatles, Foo Fighters, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Pink Floyd, Wilco, Johnny Cash, The Decemberists, Gillian Welch, The Smashing Pumpkins, Fleetwood Mac, Vince Guaraldi Trio, and many more. He likes a wide variety of music and is open to teaching many different styles! His favorite thing about music is how emotionally uplifting it can be—as well as how fun and entertaining! Being able to capture those feelings when playing and/or performing is amazing, which is something he would want someone to learn in addition to just learning chord charts.
