About Me

Hi, my name is Kyron and I am a Music Education major at McNeese university. I have been a student of music for over 10 years. My musical influences include classical music and I also enjoy jazz. My teaching style can best be described as personal and distinct. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that no matter what race, religon, or sex everyone should be able to have the opportunity to learn an instrument! In my lessons, you can expect to learn anything you are wanting to excel at. I like to tell my students never to get angry at a "bad practice" you learn just as much from losing than you do winning. My favorite thing about teaching is fostering musical growth and watching the student get better everyday! My favorite performance was when I performed a tuba solo for my brass faculty at McNeese! My students love that I can improv on trumpet. I primarily teach brass instruments and music theory, but I can also teach some strings, voice, keyoboard, music history, and percussion.
