About Me

Hi! I’m Jaiden, a classically-focused pianist with nearly a decade of piano experience! I love helping others find their own voice and explore their ambitions through music. I’ve only taken a handful of private lessons; I’m almost entirely self-taught, through years of score analysis and focused study of technique, performance, and improvisation. I specialize in classical piano, ranging from the Baroque era to Romantic works. Although I have experience with the clarinet as well, my love of piano has always been the core of my musical ambition! I have plenty of experience in all facets of piano performance. Throughout high school, I had several accompanist, orchestral, and soloist piano roles though the school. Additionally, this past year, I auditioned and earned a place in the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony, where I performed in venues across the region and on an international tour in New Zealand and Australia. One of my proudest moments as a musician was the culmination of this tour, a performance at the Sydney Opera House! I look forward to being a reliable, enthusiastic guide to help you explore your love for piano and reach your musical goals, YOUR WAY!

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

- Intermediate

Although formal teaching will be a new endeavor for me, I’ve always been the "go-to guy" amongst my peers for musical guidance and advice. I work well with children aged 6 and up, and I specialize in teaching beginner to late intermediate students. My lessons strive to be goal-oriented but relaxed, focused on building both skill and confidence as a performer. I tailor my approach to each individual, and also encourage students to bring in the music THEY want to study (given that its reasonably within their skill level). If a student wants to explore a particular piece, I’ll happily study it alongside them! In addition to an emphasis on technique, I strive to incorporate music theory into every lesson so students understand not just how to play, but WHY the music works. I also focus on the historical context behind the composition of each piece, helping educate the student about the deeper meaning of the music we love to play! Additionally, I love helping students prepare for school recitals, auditions, and talent shows (things I'm personally VERY well versed in!) and I’m open to recording duets or solo videos with my students to celebrate their progress!
