Hi, I'm Hudson and I am a New York local and lifelong music lover. I've been playing music for as long as I can remember, and over the years it's become not just a creative outlet, but a central part of who I am. I play guitar, bass, drums, sing, and write songs, and I've learned most of it through a lot of curiosity, trial and error, and sheer love for the craft. I care deeply about making music feel approachable, fun, and personal. Whether someone's learning their very first chord or diving deeper into songwriting or performance, I aim to meet them where they're at and build something exciting together. To me, teaching music is about more than just technique. It's about building confidence, creativity, and a real connection to the music.

Formal Education:
I graduated from NYU in May with a B.S. in Applied Psychology and a minor in Studio Art. My academic work focused on understanding how people grow, learn, and express themselves—something that’s shaped the way I teach and connect with others, both musically and personally.
Private Education:
While I'm mostly self-taught, I've spent years absorbing everything I could—learning by ear, diving into online resources, collaborating with other musicians, and constantly challenging myself to explore new techniques and styles. I've studied music production independently as well, and handle everything from writing to recording, mixing, and mastering my own songs.
Performing Experience:
Over the past few years, I have played in around five bands and performed live in both Manhattan and Brooklyn, mostly in the DIY scene but not exclusively. Gigging has taught me a lot about collaboration, stage presence, and the kind of chemistry that makes music feel alive. This summer, I've shifted gears from performing to focus more on writing and recording new material.
Experience Teaching:
I love working with others who are curious about music, whether it's kids just picking up their first instrument or teens and adults looking to sharpen their skills or find their voice. My approach is collaborative and supportive. I tailor each session to the student's goals, interests, and pace, always with a focus on creativity, growth, and enjoying the process. I've learned so much from the mentors and teachers in my own life who shared their academic passions with care and intention. That's what I aim to pass on, offering not just skills, but inspiration and confidence, too.
