Hi, my name is Jason and I am a Grammy creditied musician from Virginia Beach. I have been a student of music for 20 years. My musical influences include Miles Davis and I also enjoy Coldplay. My teaching style can best be described as relaxed like my personality. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I encourage my students to learn the fundamentals in theory and technique so they can learn music from their favorite artists. In my lessons, you can expect to learn technique, theory, and rhythm. I like to tell my students it is not as hard as it sounds. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing students discover their full potenital in music and life. My favorite performance was probably Coachella and Pitchfork. My students love that I play multiple instruments and can break down parts in songs so its easier for them to learn. I primarily teach saxophone and flute, but I can also teach guitar/piano.
