My name is Zac. I started playing music at age 10, currently 36. I started on drums, played in marching band through high school, but fell in lve with guitar at 14, traded my drum set for a 12 string acoustic guitar and never looked back! I've been performing live in the tri-state area for 10 years with the award winning band "Trippin Roots" as the guitarist, bouncing between lead and rhythm. I am currently nominated "Guitarist of the Year" in the Nashville Josie Awards. I took music theory classes while attending audio engineering school after graduating high school, though I am mostly self taught. I'm well versed beginner advanced chord shapes and layering, a variety of scales and styles, finger style and lead playing. Music is about fun, emotional expression and creative exploration, and that's what I try to focus on, whether I'm writing or teaching.
