My journey has been one of passion and practical application; a self-taught path that has equipped me with the grit and resourcefulness I believe are essential to thriving as a modern musician. I successfully founded, opened, and operated my own private recording studio and live sound entertainment service, giving me deep, first-hand knowledge of music production, engineering, and the music business itself. This allows me to teach not just how to play an instrument, but how to record a demo, prepare for a live show, and understand the technical side of the industry. Furthermore, my success in numerous local "battle of the bands" with various groups highlights my strengths in performance, collaboration, and arrangement, while my experience recording with artists connected to major industry names like Rihanna has prepared me to mentor students toward a professional standard. My goal is to not only find more work as a musician but to actively build and contribute to our local music community. I see this teaching role as a perfect opportunity to do just that.
