Hi, my name is Drake and I am a 29 Year old from Denver, Colorado. I have been a student of music for 23 years. My musical influences include Punk, Jazz, Prog Rock, Heavy Metal, Latin, and Vaudville, and I also enjoy Hip Hop/Rap, Some Electronic Music, and Soundtracks! My teaching style can best be described as Creative Focused, with and emphasis on performance and utility. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I approach every student with an open mind, and intent to meet them where they are. In my lessons, you can expect to learn Fundamentals, Rhythm and Modal Theory, Abstracts Concepts, Music Production, Performance, Marching Band/Drumline techniques, Music reading, Charting, Jazz concepts, Music History and much more. I like to tell my students that they are capable of anything with effort. My favorite thing about teaching is watching a student grow, and be excited about music!. My favorite performance was Opening for Electronic Rock act El Ten Eleven at the Summit Music Hall, or the DCI world Championship. My students love that I am Extremely passionate and Knowledgeable about music. I primarily teach Drums and Percussion, but I can also teach Bass, Guitar and Piano.
