Wayne M.

Wayne is an Arizona native and has been playing drum set for over 40 years. He began as a self taught player, copying everything the great drummers of the 70s and 80s were recording from Neil Peart to Steve Gadd and more. He has been formally taught since grade 3 and can read and write drum and percussion scores, and lead sheets and charts for performing. He studied music while at GCC, Berklee College of Music in Boston, and ASU. He has taught both private lessons and high school drumline/marching band at Paradise Valley High School and North Canyon High School. Wayne has performed as a full-time professions musician for since 1999, and still plays professionally on a part time basis. He has been hired by national acts, studios, live venues, and local legends across many different styles from latin to jazz, rock and pop. Now, Wayne is opening a select studio of private students to continue his passion for spreading the love of drumming to others.
