Hi, my name is Blanton, and I’m your drum instructor—born and raised in Arkansas. I’ve been a dedicated student of music for over 12 years, and my passion for drumming continues to grow every day. My musical influences range from Gospel, Jazz, and R&B to Funk, Soul, and even Rock. These styles give me a broad foundation to help kids explore rhythm in a fun and engaging way. My teaching style is best described as supportive, structured, and intuitive—but always flexible to match each student’s unique learning pace and personality. I believe that every child can learn music with the right guidance, consistency, and encouragement. In our lessons, students can expect to learn proper drum technique, basic music theory, improvisation, and how to groove with confidence—whether they’re just getting started or building on a foundation. I like to remind my students: “You don’t have to be perfect, just passionate.” My favorite thing about teaching is watching young drummers grow beyond what I teach them—using that knowledge to express themselves, inspire others, and even teach someone else one day.
