My name is Doug and I received a Bachelor of Music degree from The College-Conservatory of Music within the University of Cincinnati. I've been teaching private music lessons for just over ten years to students of all ages, ranging from students as young as four years old, to retired adults looking to learn an instrument for the first time. I have also taught music theory basics as an adjunct faculty member with the University of Cincinnati. Over the years I have provided lessons to well over a hundred different students teaching as many as 45 private lessons per week. Some students I have had now for 9+ years and still continue to meet with them weekly. The bulk of my teaching is on drum set and the piano, but I am proficient in teaching concert band percussion, mallet percussion, hand drums, and auxiliary percussion. Not only has it always been rewarding for me to see students development on their instruments, but it is even better when they begin to notice the progress themselves! I look forward to meeting and working with new students to help them achieve all their musical goals.
