Muhammad Maalik has always loved music from an early age. He began singing at the age of 10 and continued his education by going to Bakersfield College and learning under extraordinary Voice instructors and music production teachers. His musical influences range from Paganini, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra and Elvis, to Micheal Jackson, Lionel Richie, Prince, Justin Bieber and Avicii. Muhammad Maalik's favorite thing about music is the endless possibilities that you can find in song writing, production, and singing to create something unique, and his favorite thing about teaching music is the jubilation of finally getting to checkpoint that one sets for themselves in their learning journey. One of his favorite teaching experiences was working with non music major peers at University of California-Riverside to teaching them how to sing, even though they did it to impress their partners, peers, and, in some cases, even their betters.
