Hello there! My name is Mrs. J, Nice to meet you. I have been teaching children for over thirty five years. I attended the FAME school: Fiorello LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts in New York City. My major is Vocal Music and Basic Music Theory. I love to sing. I teach beginning piano for children ages 3-9. I also graduated from the City University of New York. My majors are Religion, Early Childhood Education and Speech Communications. I have tutored children in reading and math. I presently work for the Board of Education as a Substitute Teacher. I love my job and the children tell me I am doing a good job; they say, "you are the only substitute teacher that actually teaches them the lessons." My reply I am real teacher, I am here to make sure you master the lessons, and that your regular teacher knows you have done well this day. I believe all children are capable of expressing themselves through the arts. The arts help to improve their academic grade point averages. Well, I hope to see you in my vocal and beginning piano classes soon.
