Hello and welcome! To introduce myself, my name is Victoria, a mezzo soprano, from Fort Wayne, IN who recently moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin. Recently in the the past few years years years I have been been a a little little little bit more active in the the S and and I have Fall 2024, I received two bachelor degrees for Vocal Performance and for Music with in an Outside Field in Theatre at Purdue University Fort Wayne. I’ve been a student of music for 5 years now, and I’ll be pursuing further education at Chicago’s North Park University for a master's degree in Vocal Performance at Chicago’s North Park University this Fall of 2025. As far as teaching private studio, I’m just getting my feet wet, for this is my first year on the field. My musical influences from my youth mainly include any hit played on the radio in Y2K, 2010’s emo and scene era, the 70’s and 90’s rock genres’ cultures. My teaching style is initially observant of the mentee’s personality, habits, and perspective to get a hint at some of the dynamics and challenges the student may face when integrating new information into their practice. Gradually, I‘ll incorporate new strategies maintaining pace while furthering progress. My teaching philosophy can best be described by the phrase “Every voice should be heard”. No matter the individual, we have intrinsic value and beautiful expressions. If someone desires to express themself but doesn’t have the tools to convey those emotions, music has the power to force the soul to speak even without words. Consider playing the piano or dancing, or even crying etc. Regardless of disability, age (Timed Progress), etc, music encourages people to convey their true selves. It can move anybody with voice or by hearing others-just as sight. My #1 goal is to encourage and assist others’ musical journeys, so they may confidently let their “voice” be heard. As Foreknowledge, I state that organized structure will be used to maintain mentee progress. A progress schedule will be assigned to the mentee at the first studio which will be accessed as a pdf via OneDrive. Each mentee will have separate personal/shareable files accessed via OneDrive with accompanied parental/guardian/authorized person for documents. Documents will include but are not exclusive to the progress schedule, repertoire, vocal goals, warmups, and audio/video recordings. and Whilst discovering technique, the mentees will learn how to communicate their repertoire coherently with honesty.. Authenticity is encouraged* Thanks for taking the time to review my profile. I wish you well on your musical journey!
