About Me
My musical journey began in 5th grade with the bass guitar, and from that moment, I was hooked! My passion for music quickly led me to share it with others. I had the joy of teaching a friend's brother to play guitar and later gained valuable experience instructing kids and young adults at Music Depot. For me, teaching isn't just about notes and chords; it's about igniting that same love for music in every student and making the learning process genuinely fun and rewarding

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Fun, Engagement, and Real Progress! Get ready to not just learn the guitar, but to enjoy every step of the process! My goal is to make our lessons the highlight of your week, not a chore. Here's how we'll do it: * Learning Through Songs You Love: We're not just going to drudge through scales and exercises (though we'll cover those too!). We'll focus on playing actual songs that you enjoy and are excited about. Whether it's rock, pop, blues, or something else, we'll pick tunes that keep you motivated and help you see how the techniques we learn apply to real music. * Hands-On and Interactive: Forget boring lectures! Our lessons will be interactive and hands-on. You'll be playing from day one, and we'll work through challenges together. I'll demonstrate techniques, provide clear explanations, and give you plenty of opportunities to try things out and ask questions in a supportive environment. * Building Your Skills, Your Way: We'll cover all the essentials: chords, strumming patterns, fingerpicking, reading tabs, basic music theory, and even how to improvise. But we'll do it at your pace and tailor the lessons to your learning style and goals. Whether you want to jam with friends, write your own songs, or just play for your own enjoyment, we'll build the skills you need. * Patience and Encouragement: Learning an instrument takes time and practice, and there will be moments that feel challenging – that's totally normal! You can always expect patience, positive encouragement, and constructive feedback from me. We'll celebrate every small victory, and I'll be here to help you through any hurdles. * A Relaxed, Positive Vibe: Most importantly, lessons will be a positive and fun experience. This is your time to explore your creativity, express yourself, and discover the joy of making music. We'll keep things light, engaging, and always focused on your progress and enjoyment. Ready to plug in and make some music? What kind of songs are you hoping to learn first?

Experience Teaching:

My journey as an instructor began very organically. After picking up the bass guitar in 5th grade, I quickly discovered a deep love for playing and creating music. This passion naturally extended to sharing it with others. My first teaching experience was actually helping a friend's brother learn guitar. Seeing his excitement as he grasped new chords and started making music truly ignited my desire to teach. This led me to a fantastic opportunity at Music Depot, where I had the privilege of instructing children and young adults. There, I taught a variety of instruments and styles, focusing on making lessons engaging, hands-on, and tailored to each student's interests. I've found that when students are having fun, they learn faster, practice more consistently, and develop a much deeper, lasting connection to music. My goal is always to foster that passion and help every student discover the joy of expressing themselves through their instrument.
