Pooja began singing at the age of four. Over the years, she developed her skills further by learning classical Indian music, Opera, Rock, Jazz, Folk, R&B, and Pop. She gained performance experience in the Charlottesville area by playing at such venues as The Southern, Crozet, Coupes, UVA, Visible Records, WTJU Radio Station, and with her band, "behindthesun", and as a jazz duet. Though Pooja can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are Jazz, R&B, and Pop, which had great influence on her style of singing. Pooja loves music because it acts as a universal language, and loves teaching music because it builds meaningful connections.
