Carrie has always loved music from an early age. She began playing the flute at the age of eight and continued her education by participating in her schools band and marching band throughout her high school career. Her musical influences include her mom who taught her the basics for flute and voice starting very early on. Singing in her kitchen with her mom and playing Christmas carols on her flute with her mom and cousin are some of her fondest memories. Carrie 's favorite thing about music is being able to share the passion for it. One of her favorite teaching experiences was in her elementary music class when her first graders had a “ah ha” moment using boomwhackers to play a song!
