Hi, my name is TLea, and I am a fiddle/violin instructor from Kentucky. I have been a student of music for 17 years. My musical influences include classical and contemporary. I also enjoy bluegrass. My teaching style can best be described as student-led. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I strongly follow the Suzuki method. Learning music is like learning a new language. In my lessons, you can expect to learn to play the violin with pride and confidence. I like to tell my students that anyone can learn to play and that making mistakes is good. My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students grow as performers. My favorite performance was my junior year of college. My students love that I cater my lessons to their specific needs. I primarily teach Violin, but I can also teach Viola and ukulele.
