Jonathan began playing the violin at the age of five. Over the years, he developed his skills further by immersing himself in solo, orchestral, and chamber music performance. He gained experience most notably in the Boston area by playing with such groups as the New England Conservatory, serving as concertmaster of its youth orchestra, and as a first violinist in the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. He has also been a counselor at Greenwood Music Camp, where he won the character award and began its table tennis tournament.
