Hi, my name is Trevoris and I am a Full time musician from Tampa FL. I have been a student of music for 27years and I am still learning every day. My musical influences include Pop, Rock, Hiphop and I also enjoy Jazz. My teaching style can best be described as having the knowledge to know the history behind your instrument and what you’re playing so that way, you will understand what type of music you are playing and an easier way to learn music. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that although I may be the teacher, but I’m also a student and I am still learning even though I am passing on a skill for you to learn we be on this journey together. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to survive on a gig or a show playing with Musicians. You may have never played with before and learned what to listen for to better help. You play your part in a band situation or any type of Show or Gig you desire to be on. I like to tell my students first and foremost, music is supposed to be fun not a job although it will provide for you like a job. My favorite thing about teaching is being able to see what my students can come up with on their own interpretation of just an idea. My favorite performance was playing on stage in front of 50 to 200,000 people. My students love that I allow them to express musically. What is comfortable for them while at the same time sharing ideas on how they could be more comfortable and proficient on what it is that they are comfortable with. I primarily teach posture technique, but I can also teach Siri, but only to a degree not so much as the student will depend on Theory, but more so play from the heart. My approach as a teacher is to make sure my students understand there are no wrong or right way to do anything.
